Overview
The 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser is an eight-seat full-size sport utility vehicle with commendable luxury and off-road capabilities. It was redesigned in 2008, and for 2009, it comprises of a new privacy glass available on side and rear-corner windows. With durability and reliability, the 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser maintains its position as a prominent player in its class.
Power and performance
A 381-hp, 5.7-liter, DOHC 32-valve EFI V8 dual independent VVT-i engine is coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission to power the 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser. Four-wheel drive configuration is standard. The 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser comes with ‘Crawl Control’, a new technological feature of Toyota, which helps the driver control the vehicle better while maneuvering at low speeds on rough or steep terrains.
Body and Styling
The 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser is a truck-based, body-on-frame, large size sport utility vehicle in league with Toyota's FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, and Sequoia. The interior of the Land Cruiser hosts a power tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and multi-function display controls; 10-way driver and 8-way front passenger power-adjustable heated leather-trimmed seats with armrests and adjustable headrests; and a JBL AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with 14 speakers and FM diversity reception as some standard features.

Voice-activated DVD navigation system; backup camera Bluetooth wireless technology; integrated audio and climate controls; and a JBL AM/FM in-dash 6-disc CD/DVD changer with 14 speakers and FM diversity reception are some optional features available. The maximum towing capacity of the 2009 Land Cruiser is 8500 lbs while the cargo space available is 87.1 cubic feet.
Safety Features
The 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser comes with ten airbags for safety and security of the driver and passengers. Side curtain airbags for all three rows, electronic stability system, front-seat active head restraints, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, brake assist, active traction control, tire-pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability control, and active front headrests for whiplash protection are some of the safety features on the Land Cruiser.
